It's thought that 20 percent of the population of countries like America or Australia suffer from some form of arthritis. Affecting the joints with painful swelling, arthritis is often found in the hands, where it prohibits sufferers from performing daily tasks. Contributing to a lowered quality of life, this condition requires the use of pain killers and other conventional medications. Dr. Brownstein believes that taking a holistic approach to combating the symptoms can result in a positive effect on other complaints, such as fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue and autoimmune disorders. In his book, "Overcoming Arthritis," he explains:
Dr. Brownstein has lectured to audiences on the benefits of taking a holistic approach when healing common maladies. He brings considerable experience from his decades of treating patients to bear when solving medical complaints using alternative therapies. Dr. Brownstein is a graduate of both the Wayne State University School of Medicine and the University of Michigan. He heads Bloomfield, Michigan's Center for Holistic Medicine.
