PCAB ACCREDITATION

At Everwell Specialty Pharmacy, we hold the proud distinction of having the first PCAB accreditation for a compounding pharmacy in Northwest Florida. This certification requires passing stringent inspection of every aspect of our facilities from the cleanliness of the floors to the training of our employees. Each step of our process has been scrutinized to show our pharmacy uses only the highest quality active pharmaceutical ingredients and inactive materials. It also ensures our staff has had the proper training in preparing customized dosages and formulations and that each of our procedures in the compounding process are documented fully and have been executed with formulas established by the board. Earning the PCAB Seal reflects our practice of producing only medications of the highest quality in our compounding labs.

PCAB ACCREDITATION - A WEALTH OF KNOWLEDGE

In order to ensure an extensive base of knowledge and equitable review processes, the PCAB, or Pharmacy Compounding Accreditation Board, draws its expertise and funding from such prestigious members of the medical community as:

  1. American College of Apothecaries
  2. American Pharmacists Association
  3. International Academy of Compounding Pharmacists
  4. National Alliance of State Pharmacy Associations
  5. National Association of Boards of Pharmacy
  6. National Community Pharmacists Association
  7. National Home Infusion Association
  8. United States Pharmacopei

PCAB STANDARDS

Among the standards that must be met to receive PCAB accreditation are:

  1. Use of the chemicals and equipment of the highest quality available
  2. Guarantees of the potency of compounded medications
  3. Implementing systems to achieve continuous quality improvement
  4. Specialized technique training for pharmacists and technicians on an ongoing basis toensure that preparation of customized dosage is properly executed

In order to earn our designation as a PCAB accredited compounding pharmacy, we, at Everwell, were required to complete an extensive application and submission process documenting the education and training of our pharmacists and lab technicians; our licensures; our company policies; and the procedures by which our compounding pharmacy operates. After review by the PCAB, an extensive on-site inspection of our facility was needed to satisfy the strict standards of the organization. Upon the completion of their full battery of stringent evaluations and the verification of having met their criteria, official granting of the PCAB Seal of Accreditation was given, further proving that our level of dedication to quality sets us apart from the rest.

SEAL OF PRIDE

As a member of the medical industry, we take pride in being able to offer our clients peace of mind, further cementing our relationship with them as a trusted ally in their journey to better health. For the members of our military community, our PCAB accreditation qualifies us to contract with Veterans Affairs and enables us to care for the needs of many patients that standard pharmacies are unable to serve.

In order to maintain the excellence of the medications we produce, we go beyond the standard of expectations and voluntarily subject our pharmacy to rigorous third party testing. We’re more than compliant – we’re committed, and our PCAB Accreditation is clear representation of our desire to push further for quality care and innovation for the clients we serve.
